Anusha Deepani Banagoda
Born on 4th of December in Panadura, Anusha completed her education at the Panadura Balika Maha Vidyalaya, excelling in the science stream. After successfully passing her advanced level examination, she joined the government sector as an English teacher, dedicating over 30 years of service in shaping young minds. Currently, she teaches at another leading girls’ school in Panadura, having completing a successful stint in her alma mater as a teacher and a sectional head.
Anusha earned her Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Kelaniya. She is married to Kanchana Banagoda and the couple is blessed with two children, Amavi and Himeth, who have both completed their education. Recently, Amavi wedded Ravin, marking a new chapter in their family’s journey
Anusha has been an active member in community work. Especially, as a member of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy, she aided its function for over 15 years that included a period in the Executive Committee, as the Vice President before taking over duties as the President on 1st January 2025.
