NSVU comes forward to improve facilities at ‘Sahana Sevana’ in Seruwawila

The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs Mala Lamahewa on 19th July 2024 handed over the ownership several facilities, expanded by NSVU for children with special needs at ‘Sahana Sevana’ Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities in Seruwawila. Thus, NSVU constructed new toilets and repaired the roof of the existing bathroom.


Marie Sandra Rosette visits Seva Vanitha projects in Welisara

The Chief of Defence Forces, Seychelles Brigadier Michael Rosette, accompanied by his spouse, Mrs Marie Sandra Rosette, arrived in Sri Lanka on an eight-day (14th - 21st July) official visit. On the sidelines of this visit, Mrs Marie Sandra Rosette today (15th July 2024) took time off to inspect Navy Seva Vanitha projects being carried out at the Welisara Naval Complex.


NSVU's generosity shines: aid for ill and special needs children of naval personnel

In a heartwarming display of generosity, the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) extended its support to an ailing child of Leading Seaman PI Premarathna and 03 special needs daughters of Able Seaman JW Croose. Accordingly, the President of NSVU, Mrs Mala Lamahewa made financial donations for those children on 26th June 2024.

NSVU donates music instruments and books to schools in Trincomalee

The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), under the patronage of its President, Mrs Mala Lamahewa donated music instruments for the benefit of the children of Sinnaweli Adawan Tamil School in Trincomalee on 23rd June 2024. The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera declared open the 1000th Reverse Osmosis plant at Sri Sumana Maha Vidyalaya in Palukadawala, Galgamuwa on 05th June 2024. NSVU uplifts spirits of dependent war heroes at Anchorage
