AMI EXPERIENCE SHARING SESSION FOR NSVU PRESCHOOL TEACHERS CONDUCTED AT SLNS GEMUNU

The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) President, Mrs. Kaushalya Fernando, took a moment to share her experiences as a Montessori teacher with Pre-School teachers of the Navy at the SLNS Gemunu Pre School premises on 4 September 2026.

Mrs. Kaushalya Fernando, who herself is an Association Montessori International (AMI)-qualified teacher with extensive experience of over many years, initiated the programme as a platform for sharing knowledge, expertise and experience, educating NSVU Pre-School teachers on best practices and effective early childhood education.

The session was attended by teachers from NSVU Preschools, lady officers, members of the NSVU Executive Committee, and spouses of naval officers. During the interaction, participants gained valuable insights and practical guidance on effective early childhood education, child-centered learning, and creative approaches to preschool teaching.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit towards strengthening the professional development of preschool teachers and promoting quality early childhood education across the Navy.
