President of NSVU visits Seva Vanitha projects in Eastern Naval Command

The President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Kaushalya Opatha Fernando, visited Seva Vanitha projects in the Eastern Naval Command on 11 July 2026 to observe their operations and interact with staff.

During the visit, she inspected the Seva Vanitha Welfare Shop, Abans Showroom, Seva Vanitha Salon, Gift Centre and Yoghurt Project at SLNS Tissa. She met the staff attached to the respective projects, appreciated their contribution to the successful operation of the initiatives and encouraged them to continue their duties with the same dedication and commitment.

The visit formed part of the President's ongoing efforts to review the progress of Seva Vanitha projects and recognise the contribution of personnel involved in delivering welfare services to the naval community.

The Commanding Officer of SLNS Tissa, Captain Thushara Jayawardhana , supervising officers of the respective NSVU projects, the Secretary and staff members of the NSVU were also present.
