NSVU celebrates Women’s Day with purpose and passion

Going by an idea mooted by Mrs. Anusha Banagoda, the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), the organisation turned International Women’s Day into a symphony of respect and joy, hosting a spectacular dual-session event.

The programme, held at the Wave n’ Lake Navy Hall on 08 Mar 26, was distinguished by the presence of the Chief Patron of NSVU and the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda.

Opening with a poignant tribute, the first session was dedicated to appreciate the service of former Presidents who shaped the NSVU. Meanwhile, the second session paved the way for an enchanting evening filled with music and entertainment that united officers' spouses and lady officers in spirit.

Senior officers, Executive Committee Members of NSVU, spouses from across Naval Commands, lady officers, women sailors and the staff of NSVU were also present, adding prestige and warmth to the event.
