NSVU empowers preschool educators in special development programme

The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) conducted an awareness programme for NSVU preschool teachers on 19 Jan 26. Held at the Commander Premlal Danwatte Auditorium at SLNS Gemunu, the event was organized under the guidance of the NSVU President, Mrs. Anusha Banagoda.

The programme brought together teachers, assistant teachers, and supervising officers from all NSVU-managed preschools. Its primary objective was to enhance the role of educators in developing a more effective and efficient preschool education system. The focus was on fostering the holistic educational development and social skills of children under their care.

The session featured valuable contributions from distinguished resource persons. Prof. Gamini Ranasinghe of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and Mrs. Sujeewa Varuni Jayasekara, a teacher from Gateway College, shared their professional expertise and insights with the attendees.

The event was attended by the Coordinating Officer and staff of NSVU.
