NSVU’s revamped Beauty Salon and Batik Centre open doors

The newly renovated Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) Ladies Beauty Salon and Batik Centre, at the Welisara Naval Complex, was officially opened on 15 Dec 25. The opening ceremony was presided over by the President of the NSVU, Mrs. Anusha Banagoda, with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, attending as Guest of Honour.

The renovation project, conceptualized by the NSVU President and fully financed by the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, has modernized the facilities to provide improved services for both naval personnel and civilians.

Following the ceremonial opening, Mrs. Anusha Banagoda engaged with the naval personnel involved in the project and conveyed sincere appreciation for their dedicated efforts.

The event was attended by the Commander Western Naval Area, Commanding Officer SLNS Gemunu, senior officers, the staff of NSVU and a group of naval personnel.
