In a heartwarming display of care, the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) extended its unwavering support to the patients of Ward No. 7 at the National Institute of Mental Health, Mulleriyawa. Accordingly, the NSVU which is looking after the maintenance of Ward No. 7 over a long period of time, organized a special visit to uplift the spirits of the patients.
The President of the NSVU, Mrs. Anusha Banagoda visited the ward on 28 Jun 25 to personally assess the well-being of the patients and engage with them. As part of the initiative, NSVU donated a washing machine to facilitate the daily needs of the ward, ensuring better hygiene and convenience for the patients.
Adding a touch of joy to the visit, the Sri Lanka Navy band entertained the patients with lively Calypso music, bringing smiles to their faces. The event also included a special lunch for the patients, further enhancing the day’s warmth and compassion.
Meanwhile, NSVU executive and committee members along with the Coordinating Officer, Secretary and staff of the NSVU were also present on this occasion.
