The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) organized an enthralling Buddhist devotional song programme titled ‘Sinduliya Meth Dam Dahana’ on 15 May 25 at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium. The event, held under the directives of NSVU President, aimed to foster spiritual enrichment and cultural harmony.
The ceremony was graced by the Commander of the Navy as the Chief Guest, alongside distinguished invitees and naval personnel. The audience was treated to a soulful rendition of Buddhist devotional songs, enhancing the serene and devotional atmosphere. Adding vibrancy to the event, the Navy Band provided melodious musical accompaniment along with dance performances. The event also saw singing talents of NSVU members and sailors, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
Following the programme, the NSVU extended their hospitality by organizing a ‘Dansal’ (charity food stall), serving coffee and buns to naval personnel and civilians, in front of the Light House Galley.
Director Generals, Area Commanders, officers, NSVU members, their families, sailors, as well as Coordinating Officer, Secretary and the staff of NSVU were present on this occasion.
