In a continued effort to uplift the welfare of naval families, the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) on 25th September 2024 extended significant support to naval personnel and their families. Accordingly, five children (05) of naval personnel impacted by recent severe weather conditions in the country were provided with school equipment and books worth Rs. 53,902.00 by the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Mala Lamahewa at the office of NSVU.

In another act of kindness, the NSVU covered the visa expenses of Rs. 48,000.00 for Woman Fleet Chief Petty Officer US Rodrigo WV 59796, who proudly represented Sri Lanka at the 2024 Australian Handgun/PCC Shooting Championship in Indonesia.
