First Seva Vanitha Singer Showroom opens in Welisara

The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs Mala Lamahewa declared open the first of its kind Seva Vanitha Singer Showroom at the Welisara Naval Complex today (07th August 2024). This significant initiative aims to expand the welfare benefits available to naval personnel and their families.

Following the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera and under the guidance of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, the initiative was set in motion to enhance the welfare of those serving in the Navy. The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, in collaboration with Singer Pvt. Ltd, established this showroom to allow naval personnel to purchase electrical and electronic equipment either with cash or through easy payment plans.

The occasion was also attended by Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe, Director (Marketing), Singer, Mr. Vajira Tennakoon, NSVU executive committee member, Mrs Priyanga Kumarasinghe, officers from the Western Naval Command as well as Coordinating Officer and staff of NSVU.
