NSVU hands over wheelchair to ailing mother of sailor

In a heartfelt gesture of support towards the naval family, the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) donated a wheelchair for the use of an ailing mother of a sailor attached to SLNS Gemunu. The President of NSVU, Mrs Mala Lamahewa handed over the wheelchair to the sailor at the office of NSVU on 05th February 2024.

In answer to the appeals from naval personnel in need of wheelchairs, the President of NSVU approached LB Finance PLC for contributions. Consequently, LB Finance PLC has provided 03 wheelchairs to NSVU, for donation.

Thus, one of those wheelchairs was provided to Leading Musician SATH Alexander XB 84923 for the use of his aligning mother.

The occasion was also attended by the Coordinating Officer, Secretary and the staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit.
