NSVU makes donation to children with special needs

Coinciding with the International Day of Disabled Persons (03rd December 2023), the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs Mala Lamahewa donated water bottles and lunch boxes for the use of children with special needs.

The donation was made in response to a request made by Suriya Foundation in Welimada, for the children with special needs at a care center in Diurumwela Rajamaha Viharaya, operated with the support of Suriya Foundation. The event was held at the Gemini Reception Hall in Welimada on 03rd December. The Chief Incumbent of Diurumwela Rajamaha Viharaya, Venerable Pallebowila Ganananda Thera, Assistant Divisional Secretary of the Welimada Divisional Secretariat, Mr RMMN Ratnayake, Social Service Officer Mrs EKNS Kumari and Vanitha Development Officer Mrs Menike Dasanayake were present on this occasion.
