Seva Vanitha Unit donates wheelchair to retired sailor’s child with limited mobility

The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs Mala Lamahewa donated a wheelchair to the child of retired Leading Infantryman LMP Dissanayake, as the child is with limited mobility. The donation was made at the Office of NSVU on 21st July 2023.

The retired sailor made a request from the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit to obtain an adult-sized wheelchair for his child with limited mobility. Accordingly, the NSVU turned to the Advisor at Mahakaruna Buddhist Society and Sri Lankaramaya in Singapore, Ven. Dr. Karadetiyana Gunarathana Thera for this philanthropic endeavour. As such, Ven. Dr. Karadetiyana Gunarathana Thera provided this wheelchair to be given to the child of retired Leading Infantryman LMP Dissanayake.

The Coordinating Officer, Secretary and the staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit were also present on this occasion.
