NSVU engages in meritorious deeds to mark Vesak festival

Following an idea mooted by the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs Chandima Ulugetenne, members of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit engaged in several meritorious deeds to mark the Vesak full moon Poya day which fell on 15th May 2022.

Accordingly, distribution of dry rations, vegetables and fruits for 30 Bhikkhus as well as provision of medicine, essential cleaning items and Pirikara items for Bhikkhus who receive treatments for ailments at their peace at Healthcare Monastery Seela Suwa Arana in Horana was held under the patronage of the President of NSVU on 13th May 2022.

The meritorious event which had been organized coinciding with the Vesak festival was also attended by NSVU Executive Committee members Mrs Shyama De Silva, Mrs Mala Lamahewa, Mrs Kumudu Gamage, Mrs Deepthi Rathnayake NSVU members and the staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit.
