NSVU looks into the wellbeing of patients at Ward No. 07 of National Institute of Mental Health

In parallel with the International Women's Day, the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) carried out several initiatives for the wellbeing of patients at Ward No. 07 in the National Institute of Mental Health, Mulleriyawa on 08th March 2022. Accordingly, NSVU President Mrs Chandima Ulugetenne presided a simple event where the washrooms of Ward No. 07, renovated at the directives of her, were vested for the use of patients. Similarly, NSVU President also joined the occasion to offer lunch to the patients of Ward No. 07. The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit has been engaging in the maintenance of this ward for long period of time.

Soon after the lunch, an entertainment event was organized for the patients and essential materials and gift items were also presented to the hospital staff. Addressing this occasion, the Director of National Institute of Mental Health, Mulleriyawa was grateful to those who contributed to this worthy cause in numerous ways.

Vice President of NSVU, Mrs Nishani Jayarathne, NSVU executive committee members, senior and junior NSVU members, lady officers and the staff of NSVU were also present on this occasion.
