Students of Eluwankulama Sinhala Vidyalaya receive school supplies from Navy Seva Vanitha Unit

Sri Lanka Navy constructed a new classroom building, laboratory and renovated the computer laboratory at Eluwankulama Sinhala Vidyalaya in Puttalam, as a Naval Social Responsibility initiative to mark its 70th anniversary. The new facilities developed by the Navy were bestowed on school children by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne on 08th August 2021. In parallel with this event, the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) provided essential school supplies for 25 students of the schools and President NSVU along with Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Rear Admiral KJ Kularathna, Executive Committee Member of NSVU, Mrs. Udeni Kularathna, Senior Supervising Officer Seva Vanitha Projects, Rear Admiral Sujeeva Senaviratne, Commanding Officer Rapid Action Boat Squadron and a group of senior officers joined this occasion to handover those items to the students.

The event was organized adhering to COVID-19 protocols in force due to pandemic concerns. Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularathna, Executive Committee Member of NSVU, Mrs. Udeni Kularathna, Senior Supervising Officer Seva Vanitha Projects, Rear Admiral Sujeeva Senaviratne, Deputy Area Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Commodore Prasad Kariyapperuma, Commanding Officer Rapid Action Boat Squadron, Commander BGPFA Wickramasooriya, officers as well as members and staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit were present on this occasion.
