Cafeterias at Welisara Naval Complex declared open as NSVU services

At the invitation of President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne declared open cafeteria facilities at Welisara Naval Complex and Navy General Hospital on an auspicious note on 25th January 2021. The facilities which have been there for the benefit of naval personnel and their family members, received further amelioration with a novel approach under NSVU, to offer better service for those who seek cafeteria facilities at above locations.

The occasion was also attended by Vice President of NSVU, Mrs. Kumari Weerasinghe, members of NSVU, Flag Officers, senior and junior officers, lady officers and staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Ulugetenne also took time off to inspect the ongoing construction of new building complex for Seva Vanitha Bathik Centre and Flower Decoration Unit, constructed in view of expanding their services further.

Subsequently, the President NSVU laid a foundation stone for a new treatment centre and administrative building dedicated for Navy Kennels at SLNS Gemunu as well. Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Meril Sudarshana, Executive Committee Members of NSVU, Mrs. Ayoni Wevita and Mrs. Dilini Perera, Naval Officer in Charge (Welisara) and the staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit were present on this occasion.
