‘Piyawarak heta’ arts and handcrafts exhibition commences in Colombo

‘Piyawarak Heta’, an initiative by the Director and staff of Senehasa Education, Resource, Research and Information Centre to showcase the creative abilities of the differently able children being educated by the centre, was inaugurated by the President of Navy Seva Wanitha Unit Mrs Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi on the 03rd December.

Upon the inauguration, the exhibition showcases a number of arts and handcrafts made by the differently able children and today’s opening ceremony was followed by a variety show from the children. The children’s artistic abilities and talents were highly commended by the President of the Navy Seva Wanitha Unit upon awarding prizes to the talented children. The Director of Senehasa Education, Resource, Research and Information Centre presented Mrs Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi with a token of appreciation for gracing the occasion.

This occasion was attended by distinguished guests, the children educating at the Senehasa Education, Resource, Research and Information Centre along with their parents and a large number of well-wishers. The exhibition will conclude on the 04th December.
