NSVU bids adieu to its President

The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Sandya Ranasinghe who extended a commendable service, even taking time off from her profession for the betterment of NSVU for more than one year, officially handed over the duties of the position on 1st January 2019. A function to bid farewell to the former President was held, under the patronage of its Vice President, Mrs. JK Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi, at the Malima Club House-Uswetakeiyawa on 31st December 2018.

The event organized on a high note, saw the President being warmly welcomed to the occasion by the Vice President, presenting her with a bouquet of flowers. Thereupon, members of the NSVU and lady officers extended best wishes for the future endeavours of Mrs. Ranasinghe and in appreciation of her dedicated service for the organization, a memento was presented to the outgoing President by the Vice President, Mrs. Jayaneththi. Further, the Secretary and the staff of the NSVU also presented a memento to Mrs. Ranasinghe in recognition of her invaluable service. The occasion was made colourful by the singing and dancing events performed by the Navy Band and the Cultural Troop.

The senior and junior members of NSVU, lady officers, the Secretary and the staff of the NSVU were also present on this occasion.
