Following the directives and guidance of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, its members executed a timely initiative in view of providing relief to the people hard hit by floods and mudslides due to adverse weather prevailed in the country.

As per the guidance of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne a special bus service was on the run on Vesak full moon poya day (10) facilitating the naval personnel to enjoy Vesak celebrations in town.

A ‘Sago Dansal’ organized to coincide with the Vesak full moon poya day, by the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) under the guidance of its President Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne was opened last evening (10) by the NSVU President.

Following a concept of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, a ‘Seva Vanitha Bakery’ which has been constructed at SLNS Gemunu in Welisara, was declared open by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne today (8).
